How many time you grab a tool with sharp edge or sharp point- and you heart your self, or the tool damaged the tool bag .
Its a very simple to protect those sharp tools- or other pointed instrument.
For flat tools with wide edge, such : Scraper, Putty Knives, Drywall tapping knives,Hand saw.
I use a poster hanging plastic bar- (available in picture framing store , or decoration supply).
Cut a section, same size of the object you have. and slide it over- Done.
I use a sanding paper to shape the side of the plastic bar edges. I also cover it with a color electrical tape (the plastic is black- hard to see with more tools).
Poster Hanger.
Verity of tool with edge protector. I used color electrical tape for better visibility.
Taping joint knife with the protector - the sides end shape for a better look and touch.
For pointed instruments such: Awl, Drywall saw, Chisel, small Putty Knives, and more.
Use Plastic tubing.- Buy all the sizes available in short length (1-3 feet) most hardware store carry and sale clear tubing by the foot. Simply cut a short section for the desire length with extra tube sticking out- 1/2 " . Done.
Make sure to have the tube tight fit and no lose ,,, its will come out easy.
I tape the end with color electrical tape- for better visibility of the tubing cap (hard to see clear tube).
A sorted plastic tubing in different sizes.
A few tools with a tube protector.
